Remote Foundations Drawing Curriculum (UNLV)

Project Details

I designed and delivered a fully remote Drawing 101 curriculum for undergraduate students at UNLV. The project focused on translating studio-based, visual instruction into clear, accessible, and engaging online learning experiences for students with varying levels of experience.

Institution: University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Role: Instructional Designer & Instructor

Project Type: Remote Higher Education Course Design

Delivery: Online / Asynchronous + Synchronous

Timeline: 2023–Present

The Challenge

Foundational drawing courses are traditionally taught in person, relying on live demonstrations, spatial feedback, and studio presence. Moving this experience online required rethinking how to communicate visual concepts, structure practice-based learning, and maintain clarity and consistency for students working remotely.

Conclusion
This work highlights my ability to apply instructional design frameworks to real learning contexts while balancing clarity, engagement, and usability. It reflects my approach to creating purposeful learning experiences that support transfer and performance.
